AWF Officials have announced that Danny Gee will will returning to the Arizona Wrestling Federation at Overdrive X - as special guest host of the nights festivities!

Danny Gee is an AWF Legend and one of the staple AWF roster members that has brought both the Arizona Wrestling Federation and the AWF Overdrive brands to prominence, over the last ten years. Gee is a former-AWF Heavyweight Champion and former 2-time AWF Tag Team Champion.

AWF Overdrive X is scheduled to take place at the PHX Beer Co. Brewery + Taproom - SAT September 30 in Phoenix, AZ. Overdrive X is the 10th (tenth) anniversary of the AWF Overdrive franchise of events.

Chubby Wins Gold in El Paso

Chubby Depp put his AWF Heavyweight Championship on the line tonight in a triple-threat match tonight against Aydan Colt and Brian Kendrick, in El Paso, TX.

Depp came out victorious, successfully defending his AWF Heavyweight Championship. Depp also gained new gold: the PWL World Championship- a title held by Aydan Colt, coming into the evening.

The match was held in El Paso, TX and was sanctioned by Pro Wrestling Legacy.

What IS a Texas Death Match?

At AWF Slampede, Alex Salyers takes on Chris Evans in the first-ever Texas Death Match in AWF history. But, what exactly... are the rules?

Here are some of the main points:

• No disqualification
• No holds-barred
• Both competitors must sign "hold-harmless agreements" With AWF Officials, prior to the event
• Decision is at the discretion of the referee (or AWF Officials)
• There must be a winner

How to win:

1. You must pin your opponent for the count of three (3), then:
2. Your opponent must fail to answer a "standing 10-count" from the referee

AWF Officials and the competitors involved have agreed that this is the best way to settle what's become a storied, 8-year feud between Evans and Salyers.

Ricky Challenges Chubby For AWF Championship in August

After not talking for months, since Ricky Rayez costed Chubby Depp the AWF Heavyweight Championship in April, the Phat & the Furious are seemingly on speaking terms again.

Although the two have been scheduled to compete as a tag team at AWF SLAMPEDE (SAT 7/29 in Phoenix - click here for tickets), Rayez has issued a challenge to Chubby Depp for the AWF Heavyweight Championship at AWF Gold Rush (SAT 8/26 in Phoenix -click here for tickets).

#1 & #2 Meet Again This SAT in Tucson

This past May, Aydan Colt and Ricky Rayez both entered the Wildcard Rumble as entrants #1 and #2. Both man also went the distance, being the two last competitors, at the match's conclusion. Ultimately, Aydan Colt was victorious, earning the second AWF Wildcard Rumble win of his career.

Some argue that Alvaric Reiner aided with an assist, interfering by holding Rayez (after Reiner had been eliminated)- thus allowing Colt to eliminate Ricky Rayez.

Will Ricky Rayez capitalize on his opportunity to get a "W" back from Aydan Colt? Can he get vindication for coming so close to winning this year's Wildcard Rumble match and being cheated out of it at the very end?

Texas Death Match in AZ - SAT 7/29

It didn't take AWF Officials long to announce that Chris Evans and Alex Salyers have an incredible feud that typical competition will not resolve.

Shortly after their match was thrown out in a double-disqualification at AAGS, AWF Officials announced that the two will compete in a Texas Deathmatch at SLAMPEDE - Saturday July 29th at the Maverick Saloon in Phoenix, AZ.

Both competitors have spoken with AWF Officials individually and agreed to the "No-disqualification" stipulation of this match.
